Itinerary

Day 1FEZ TO MERZOUGA VIA IFRANE, CEDAR FOREST, ZIZ VALLEY

In the morning we pick you up from your accommodation in FEZ and then we will start our journey which will take us along the beautiful south east road, where the landscape changes dramatically from the snowy hills of IFRANE, the cleanest city in Morocco to the Cedar Forest of the middle ATLAS and then eventually the dry weather of the Sahara desert. Along the way we will stop to have a short walk in the town of IFRANE and then drive through the Cedar forest to have a closer encounter with the Barbary Macaques. We continue our way to join AWFOUSS Oasis, one of the largest oases in North Africa. Upon your arrival to MERZOUGA you will camel trek crossing the golden dunes of ERG CHEBBI. Your camel man will stop for you on top of the dunes to watch the beautiful Sahara sunset, then continue to the camp. Upon your arrival to the camp, you will be welcomed and settled in your tents.

Day 2MERZOUGA TO FEZ VIA RISSANI, ERFOUD

In order to assist one of the most beautiful sunrise you will ever see in your life as the sun slowly emerge from behind of the dunes of the almighty Sahara desert. Then camel trek back to meet your driver, then we hit the road back to the cultural capital of Morocco, passing though the historical town of RISSANI, the cradle of the Alouiste Dysnasty, the current rulling dynasty, then we continue our road via the fossils town of ERFOUD where we can have an optional stop to visit one of the biggest fossils warehouses, in order that you get a closer look of how these marvellous rocks are polished. We continue our journey via the ZIZ VALLEY, MIDELT and pass through the city of Ifrane. Arriving late afternoon in Fez. Drop off at your accommodation.
